On November 10, 2024, Space Seed Holdings Inc. signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with its subsidiary, Regenesome, regarding investments related to fermentation and longevity. As part of this initiative, the company officially launched its startup investment program, the ¡°Fermentation and Longevity Fund.¡±
Background
Since its founding, Space Seed Holdings has been dedicated to investing in teams and projects essential for the technological development and business activities necessary for humanity¡¯s advancement into space. Since April 2024, the company has participated in the ¡°SPACE FOODSPHERE¡± program, which promotes the development of fermentation technology, medical technology, and aquaculture technology for both space and Earth applications.(1) Prior to Space Seed Holdings¡¯ establishment, its Representative Director, Kengo Suzuki, had a track record of personal investments spanning a broad range of fields, from aquaculture and education to space technology.
In May 2024, Space Seed Holdings announced its intention to participate in the XPRIZE Healthspan competition, aiming to extend healthy lifespans through technological development.(2)(3) Furthering this commitment, the company established Regenesome as a subsidiary in July 2024.
